Secur-i-Disc (U.K) Secur-i-Disc (U.K) Secur-i-Disc (U.K)

SUPPLIERS OF TAMPER PROOF TAX DISC HOLDERS
Patent Number: 2 298 630

HOW IT WORKS

Secur-i-Disc is a simple but ingenious product, which will prevent fraudsters making millions from the 32 Million licences issued to motorists who abide by the law and buy tax discs.

If a thief breaks into a vehicle and steals the tax disc, the unique Secur-i-Disc encapsulation will prevent any alteration for use on another vehicle. Any attempt to alter the details on the tax disc will result in its destruction, thereby preventing the thief from "selling it on".

CLAMPDOWN ON CAR TAX DODGERS

Road tax dodgers are facing the biggest crackdown ever from both the D.V.L.A and Police forces throughout the U.K, with offenders being clamped, fined and even having their vehicle scrapped. The blitz is now fully operational throughout the whole of the U.K.

As a direct result of the clampdown, the demand for stolen tax discs will see an inevitable and dramatic increase. It is therefore more essential than ever that the law-abiding motorists and company car users safeguard their valuable road tax disc licence with the Secur-i-Disc holder.

Once applied the Secur-i-Disc makes it impossible for the opportunist thief to steal and alter the details, thus offering the motorist peace of mind and preventing damage to their vehicle running into hundreds of pounds through smashed windows, broken locks, etc...

HOW TO FIT THE SECUR-i-DISC TO YOUR WINDSCREEN

STEP 1. Carefully peel off the tax disc holder backing paper by cracking along the line to expose the adhesive front of the holder. Place on a flat surface with the adhesive side facing up.

STEP 2. Apply the
BACK of your tax disc to centre circle and ensure a firm bond.

STEP 3. Remove paper backing from the clear plastic disc by cracking along the line (see STEP 3). Centre this over tax disc and align tab over the arrow on the holder (see FIG 1). Carefully apply the adhesive side of disc to surface of tax disc. Smooth down firmly, paying particular attention to the outer edge of the plastic disc. No attempt should be made to remove the plastic disc at any time during fixing, as this will damage the tax disc and you will be charged for a replacement. Once enclosed, the disc will be permanently bonded to the holder.

STEP 4. Place the adhesive side of the tax disc holder onto your vehicle windscreen, and smooth down gently to display the tax disc.

TO REMOVE THE HOLDER FROM THE WINDSCREEN
Simply pull the tab gently at the position marked by the arrow. The holder will peel off slowly from the windscreen.

APPLYING FOR A REFUND
If at any time you need to return the disc to DVLA for a refund, carefully remove the holder from windscreen as described above, and trim around the edge of the tax disc with a pair of scissors. Attach to a V14 (Refund of Vehicle Excise Duty), available from DVLA Local Offices and from Post Office branches that issue tax discs.
